This is Grenadier St. James. I can tell you his full name because he’s not concerned with privacy issues.
He is our brand-new Pembroke Welsh Corgi puppy, and at the time of this writing, he is almost twelve weeks old.
When he’s not sleeping or biting me, Gren is learning how to live without his siblings in a family full of grownups, and he’s doing a pretty good job. He’s very calm (most of the time) and loves to play with absolutely everyone. He does, however, have a very strong obsession with food. Obviously, then, it’s a perfect match.
Stay tuned for our adventures with the cutest little sausage on the planet.
EDIT 13 MAY 2011: Grenadier, or Ginomotron (because he keeps growing) is approaching five months old and we are head over heels in love. Here’s a more recent shot of him smiling in the backyard:
You can see more pictures on my Flickr page here. Don’t you want one too?
Awwwwe, he is so cute!!!

Adorable. I am already worrying for you, if your *dog* refuses to sleep through the night…
Good to see you have chosen a dog from my homeland! Very cute.
Thanks, we’re totally in love. And climatologically, Wales is very similar to Newfoundland, so he has adapted well!
Ah, you must rubbish weather too, then.
If you mean rain, wind, fog, then more rain, then yes.
That I do!
Hahah, sounds like my kind of place then. My ancestors are Manx so I must be genetically predisposed to like gray!
I assume you don’t mean the cats… wow, bad joke…
Ouch, it really was. No, I mean the Island of Man of course. Jersey too, but you can’t say that without sounding like you’re American so I leave that one out …
Brrrr it looks freezing where you live
Great pics of your canine friends!
It IS! We haven’t really had a summer at all in Newfoundland.
