Don’t you hate buying produce one day and the next time you go into your refrigerator you find it flaccid and unappetizing?
I don’t keep a lot of vegetables in the refrigerator for this precise reason.
To keep my asparagus in a turgid state I like to make a little arrangement of it in a vase or jug of water. I find it will stay crisp that way for a couple days longer than it will in the refrigerator.
Plus it looks nice as a centrepiece.
